NEWTECH Skills Center

The new GC/CM 37,900 sf, two-story addition expands the existing advanced technical and professional training center for high school students. The building is composed of structural steel, masonry veneer, metal wall panels, and glazing systems. The addition is designed around a central open area which functions as the Student Commons with an adjoining multi-purpose room containing staging and theater equipment. The digital media, video, and programming studios feature the latest technologies. Health sciences programs including nursing, research, and dental are also housed in the new addition.

Construction occurred while classes were in session. To reduce disruption, school activities were incorporated into the construction schedule.
